The environmental issue observed is air pollution. It occurs whensolid particles and gases mix and disperse in the air. These includechemical substances, particulates, among other dangerous objects. Approach to endorse positive environmental behavior
Industries and vehicles are the major sources of air pollutionwithin a community. The gases emitted from both enhancecardiovascular morbidity and death, particularly in regions wherecardiovascular illnesses are common (Barrett, 2012). People need tolive in an environment where they feel that they are not exposed tohealth risks. This brings to light the significance of effectivestrategies that enhance positive environmental endeavors. Suchstrategies minimize the gases and other substances released to theair.

Technological advances impact on the environment
Technology has made life easier through its many inventions. It hasbecome a major part of daily life. Electricity is a major technological advancement, which has changedpeople’s lives in many ways. People use electricity to cook, work,and clean among other uses. However, power lines cause air pollution.It is not possible to see visible gases released from power lines.High voltage power lines draw air, which comprises of hazardousparticulates. As electricity runs through the lines, air ionizationtakes place. Ionized air when inhaled increases the concentration offree radicals in the respiratory system. This results in prematureaging, possible cancer development and tissue damage.
Environmental policies are commitments made by organizations andpersons in setting rules. The rules are meant at outlining actions toundertake in conserving the environment by reducing pollution (Steg,2013). The policies positively people to act in manners that do notresult in air pollution. Most of these policies authorize legalaction to be taken when organizations or specific persons fail tocomply. For instance, a policy may direct all manufacturingindustries to use electricity in powering their machines, in place offuel. This is because electricity reduces the amount of poisonousfumes released in the atmosphere. An organization that does notadhere such regulations may be shut down. Hence, environmentalpolicies deter air pollution.
